Carcassonne, France (PRWEB) July 14, 2010

The Weekly ‘Success with Stress News’ draws its content from a wide range of sources keeping readers informed about the latest breakthroughs, research and good news about how to live through and overcome the multiple pressures of modern life.

The new site springs from its mother site, http://www.success-with-stress.com/stress-news.html, where readers will find previous stress articles in issues stored by date and topic.

As self-healing author Louis Proto says, “Healing oneself is an individual process.” So, watch the video at the Home Page of the mother site, http://www.success-with-stress.com, to find details of a myriad of free active and passive exercises for each person to choose from according to their needs, including an non-exhaustive list of free: Relaxation Tools, Breathing Exercises, Meditation Processes, Financial Solutions, Stress Relief Exercises, Illustrated Psycho-Physical Exercises, a Free Exercise Program, etc.

It’s very important, even crucial for a person to have practical strategies available to maintain their equilibrium and well-being in difficult times. According to the famous author Leslie Kenton: “Being in control really works when dealing with stress. People who feel in control of a situation experience a sense of empowerment. Helplessness leads to anxiety and then to depression.”

So, the self-help methods Francoise Bonhoure offers are varied — but by no means always conventional — and are geared to meet our different, individual requirements, according to what we need at any particular time.

She calls these, ‘Unique Solutions to Transform Stress into Well-Being’. To have a taste, here are some of them:

Shaking and Breathing Exercise Video
7-Day Free Exercise Program Video
Free Guided Self Massage Video
And there’s much more, for you to start dealing with stress effectively.

These methods are there for your support — a compendium of what others have found and are finding helps them to feel better and, in many cases, cures them.

So, in a nutshell:

Richard L. Parenti Releases “Your Solution to Stress” e-Book

Richard L. Parenti Releases “Your Solution to Stress” e-Book

Modesto, CA (PRWEB) August 2, 2005

Richard L. Parenti, stress management expert and President of the Yoga Health Institute, announces the release of his e-book “Your Solution to Stress.”

“It’s a medical fact: Stress Kills! Virtually everyone today has stress. Up to 92% of all Doctor visits in America are stress related. And yet most people don’t realize there is a natural, simple solution to their stress,” says author Richard Parenti.

Richard is no stranger to stress. He spent years as a former covert espionage agent in Europe, Central America and the Middle East. Parenti rubbed elbows with prostitutes, pimps, thugs and murderers in places like Marseilles, Istanbul, Beirut, Damascus and Panama City. He was motivated to look for a natural solution to his stress, go nuts or wind up on drugs until they killed him. He left the intelligence business. He discovered Yoga meditation. He stopped drinking. He spent forty-days in silence in India in the Himalayan Mountains meditating six hours a day. When he returned to America he wrote “Your Solution to Stress.”

“In twenty minutes or less you can effectively reduce your stress,” says, Parenti. “The hardest part of the twenty minute meditation is sitting down to meditate. Once you sit the rest is easy,” he says.

“You can start reducing your stress simply by taking a deep breath through the nostrils, exhaling through pursed lips gently and deeply (repeat three times). Then breathing from the belly allow your breath to flow naturally through your nostrils watching the cool air come in and warm air go out. Do this two to three minutes every day and you will begin the process of reducing your stress,” asserts Parenti.

His research shows that this natural, stress reduction meditation solution has been around for thousands of years. And since 1939, it has been medically illustrated in several scientific journals as a #1 catalyst for reducing stress. Ultimately, Parenti has written a book that may save your life.

“Stress-proof your Life” – New Book A Breakthrough Approach to Conquer the Effects of Chronic Stress

“Stress-proof your Life” – New Book A Breakthrough Approach to Conquer the Effects of Chronic Stress

Hoboken, NJ (PRWEB) April 9, 2006

Patrick S Keeley MF Phys, ABH, SNLP, announces his new book and seminar, “Stress-proof your life.” This revolutionary plan is not a stress management program. Rather than seeking to manage stress it goes beyond the thousands of stress management programs available by combining mind and body techniques to combat the health problems caused by chronic stress.

Based on the new discipline of psychophysical medicine, “Stress-proof your life” provides the reader with a set of tools that eliminate the deadly effects of chronic stress altogether. It explains the psychophysical connection that lies at the root of chronic stress and demonstrates the techniques that can be used to beat it.

“It’s time we put the old stress management paradigm behind us and start eliminating chronic stress as a health issue, for good” says Keeley.

The book is based on Keeley’s simple to follow three step plan that his clients’ use to overcome their health problems caused by the stress of daily life. Through a highly effective set of objectives that are readily attainable the plan will:

    Re-balance blood sugar levels

    Replenish depleted brain neurotransmitters

Build a strong and stress-proof body

Install positive thought processes and help remove negative patterns

Originally trained in physical therapy, Keeley later switched to Psychology, and in particular behavioral therapy, to get to the heart of the often deadly effects of chronic stress that his patients exhibited. Having suffered himself for some time with stress related illness, he realized that traditional stress management classes and programs were not preventing or curing the severe health problems caused by chronic stress. Using nutritional supplementation, cutting edge audio technology and easy physical exercises, this plan succeeds where traditional stress management programs fail.

Stress-proof your life is available in a variety of formats from the self-help book, one on one sessions with a stress-proof coach or full day’s corporate seminar.

The Stress Number(TM) Report for April 2011

The Stress Number(TM) Report for April 2011

Stress Test – The Oxygen Plan

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) June 01, 2011

Employee stress drains $ 400 billion a year from U.S. employers–yet many organizations do not fully understand the damage stress causes to their profit margins, employee productivity levels and employee health. In an ongoing study of Stress in America, The Oxygen Plan Corporation reports the April 2011 findings of the new health metric – the Stress Number™. To date, over 49,000 respondents have completed the 30 question, 5 minute The Oxygen Plan Stress Test to assess their individual stress. The stress test has 10 questions for home, work and social stress. The scoring for each question ranges 0 – 100, whereby a score of 0 means extreme stress (red), to 100, meaning stress free (green).

Key April Findings: “Still Stressed But Heading In The Right Direction”

A total of 2,942 respondents completed The Oxygen Plan’s Stress Test in April. The resulting Stress Number™ for home is 49, followed by work and social stress at 54 for both dimensions. “Clearly, scores are in the yellow – indicating there is a lot of stress out there. Overall, the Stress Number™ for each life dimension, home, work and social, has deteriorated since we initiated this study in September 2009,” says Dr. Donald E. Williams, board-certified clinical health psychologist (American Board of Professional Psychology/ABPP), and Chief Science Officer, The Oxygen Plan. “Having said that, these are the best Stress Number™ scores that we have seen in recent months for home, work and social stress and find the data slightly encouraging.” Versus last month, the Stress Number™ scores for home, work and social stress were improved by 3, 2, and 1 point. “This is the first time we have ever seen an across the board improvement. The 3 point jump in the home Stress Number™ is the best single month improvement since we have been conducting our research.” Combined, the Stress Number™ scores indicate stress, and its ill effects on our home, work and social lives, and on and our health, remains a serious issue.”

A “Stress Number™” can also be an aggregated measure of the employee stress affecting an organization’s workforce. Three new research papers from The Oxygen Plan Corporation urge employers to learn the Stress Number™ for their employees and employee groups to help them develop an effective stress management program and how to optimize their Employee Assistance Program.

The impact of stress in the U.S. workplace is bad news for employers as it manifests in lost productivity, absenteeism, presenteeism, group health expense, employee turnover and disability expenses. “Many organizations invest in resources like EAPs, work-life programs and policies, and health and wellness programs,” said Dr. Williams. “These are essential but reactive initiatives. Many organizations are unaware of their employees’ actual stress levels, how much of their stress is job-related, the root causes of their stress, or that they can be proactive in terms of addressing the very real problems and associated costs.” “Stress diminishes the engagement and effectiveness of a workforce, erodes workers’ physical and emotional health, and drives up medical and insurance costs,” adds Eric Lucas, CEO of The Oxygen Plan Corporation.

“With the Stress Number™, it is now possible to measure, compute, aggregate, report, and trend a stress metric as it relates to personal health or organizational cost,” says Dr. Williams. “Now, we are able to assess stress, calculate the Stress Number™, provide The Oxygen Plan program and re-measure stress for individuals or organizations. The Stress Number™ is a significant development in the field of health metrics.” “We feel the Stress Number™ should be used to help individuals and organizations manage health and health care costs – just like blood pressure and BMI,” adds Lucas. “Because stress in the home or social life impacts employees at work, and vice versa, it’s in employers’ best interest to know the aggregate employee Stress Number™ for their organization and get a line of sight into root causes.”

About The Oxygen Plan

The Oxygen Plan is a revolutionary new behavior change program designed to help employees recognize and reduce stress, live healthier, happier lives while helping employers lower health care costs, improve productivity and strengthen employee engagement. The Oxygen Plan, co-developed by Dr. Donald E. Williams, board-certified clinical health psychologist (American Board of Professional Psychology/ABPP), and Chief Science Officer and Founder, Eric Lucas, is the only stress reduction program to use a patent-pending green, yellow, red color coding to easily facilitate stress recognition and behavior change for individuals and organizations. The Oxygen Plan is also the home of the Stress Number™, the new health metric, and first to quantify stress levels. For more information visit http://www.theoxygenplan.com.

Stress Management Seminar Offers Long-Term Stress Relief in the Workplace

Stress Management Seminar Offers Long-Term Stress Relief in the Workplace

Fairfield, CT (PRWEB) March 14, 2005

If all the stress remedies out there are so effective, why is everyone still stressed out? That’s the problem a recently developed stress management program was designed to overcome: the lack of follow-up, the almost inevitable lapsing back into stressful ways.

Created and presented by internationally known author and stress management consultant G. Gaynor McTigue, the innovative program endeavors to rid employees’ lives of needless stress, anxiety and clutter in two important phases. The first is a compelling two-hour stress reduction workshop in which McTigue arms participants with a wide array of effective stress management techniques. More than just relieve stress, the strategies are aimed at actually reversing the stressful habits and mindsets workers develop on the job and in other areas of their lives.

Equally important is phase two. To prevent a relapse into stressful habits over time, participants are invited to receive new and refresher stress relief techniques by email each weekday. These daily stress tips, which McTigue currently sends out to thousands of enthusiastic recipients worldwide, provide the needed tools and motivation to stay stress-free.

“Stress in the workplace is at epidemic levels,” says McTigue, “and costs in many ways, including poor job performance, mistakes, accidents, absenteeism, higher health insurance premiums, job dissatisfaction, burnout, and high turnover. “My one-two-punch program can be extremely helpful in solving these problems.”

This unique stress management approach is based on McTigue’s acclaimed book “Why Make Yourself Crazy” — which was featured on the cover of Publishers Weekly, quoted in Woman’s Day Magazine and other publications, and discussed on talk shows across America.
